Zhi Xiong is the Assistant Dean (Education), Co-lead of the Endocrine System-based Workgroup, Chair of the Inquiry and Thinking Pathway, and Deputy Education Director of Physiology. He is also an Associate at the Centre for Medical Education. Internationally, he is the Chairperson of Asia-Pacific Biomedical Science Educators Association and a Board Member of the International Association of Medical Science Educators. Besides education, Zhi Xiong heads the Neurodevelopment and Cancer Laboratory under NUS Center for Cancer Research. He is also a Joint Scientist at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and an Affiliate Member of the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore. In student life, he serves as a Resident Fellow at King Edward VII Hall where he lives among undergraduate students. Situated at the crossroad of medical sciences and health professions education, Zhi Xiong is exploring ways to broaden health professions education and enhance transdisciplinary learning with specific interests in the role of medical sciences in health professions, medical education technology and faculty development.
